Custom external doors may provide the best results for the money you spend of any other renovation you can make to your home. Here’s why.
Appearance
A lot of homes are built with standard grade doors and windows. This keeps costs down for the builders. Unfortunately, it doesn’t do a lot for your home’s appearance. It looks OK and the doors and windows are solid, but they aren’t nearly as aesthetically pleasing or efficient as custom built doors and windows made of solid timber and sturdy, weatherproof glass.
The styling of custom external doors is much better than that of your standard doors. If you are like many homeowners, you have a “solid” front door which is often aluminium or a laminated timber that is actually hollow on the inside. It is usually painted white or a non-descript colour. We’ll tell you more about this later. Your back door may be another standard door or it may be an aluminium sliding door to a non-descript back porch or a few pavers.
Contrast this with having us make you custom external doors. Your front door can be solid timber with a nice finish that accents the natural grain and appearance of the timber. If it is stained a dark brown, it looks majestic and prosperous.
Your back door can be a timber sliding door or a timber bifold door. The timber frame will be a perfect transition from the nature in your backyard to the inside of your home. Bifold doors open nearly as wide as the opening of your door, making them great for alfresco living on a patio or straight into your garden.
Custom External Doors: Where Economy Meets Performance
Your custom doors are made of timber and weatherproof glass. Both are great insulators that help keep the heat out in the summer and the cold out in the winter.
